Since I am from an older generation than most students here I can tell you I have seen a growth exponentially how social media is use. At the beginning of social media with MySpace followed by Facebook it seemed that it was focused on entertainment and for the younger demographics. Jump forward ten years and social media has blown up into every aspects of our life. It now seems that no one can go an hour, mush less a day, without some form of social media platform influence. As social media has evolutionized so has humanity alongside it. Now we have grown dependent on it on all aspects of our life. With this need to be connected with others so have businesses used the opportunity to grow.
